Matias Ilmari Autio

I am based in the Genome Institute of Singapore. I hold a joint-appointment in the Foo-lab in NUS. My research interests include the establishment and use of genomic safe harbours (GSH) for targeted transgene expression in human cells. I routinely use many genome engineering tools, including CRISPR based methods. These tools are applied to understanding i) gene regulation and ii) heart disease. 

Outside the lab my time is spent taking care of three young children.
