Ryan Fan

As someone endlessly fascinated by molecular biology, I am currently a doctoral candidate studying epigenetic regulation of cardiac lineage commitment and cardiomyocyte maturation. My work revolves around the differentiation and characterisation of stem-cell derived cardiomyocytes, as well as bioinformatic analyses to identify novel regulators of cardiomyocyte biological processes.

My research areas of interest include differential RNA isoform usage in cardiomyocyte maturation, and identifying modulators of cell state transitions with single-cell transcriptomics.
