Brandon Tan

Hey I’m Brandon! I am currently a research assistant and PhD student at the Foo-lab, since 2023. I obtained my BSc in Biomedical Sciences and MSc in Cardiovascular Sciences at University College London, with both my degree projects completed under the Hatter Cardiovascular Institute with Prof. Sean Davidson and Prof. Derek Yellon. My current research involves functionally characterizing and conducting stress response eQTL analyses on iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes at the population-scale level. Whether its day or night, rain or shine, you can always catch me turning blood into stem cells or even cardiomyocytes. Outside of science, I enjoy hiking and travelling for food!
