I was awarded my PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. Under the overarching theme of cardiac regeneration, I studied neonatal cardiomyocytes and developed protocols for their isolation in culture using the explant technique. I also studied adult bone marrow derived stromal cell differentiation and their 3-Dimensional culture using scaffolds.
